Edge - Export & Import Passwords

Exporting Passwords from Microsoft Edge

⚠️ Important: Exported passwords are saved in a readable .csv file. Handle this file with care and delete it after use to protect your data.

Steps:

1. Open Microsoft Edge.
2. Click the three-dot menu (⋯) in the top-right corner.
3. Go to Settings > Profiles > Passwords.
4. Scroll down and click Export passwords.
5. Authenticate using your Windows login credentials or PIN.
6. Choose a location to save the .csv file and click Save.

 Importing Passwords into Microsoft Edge

Enable Password Import (if not visible):

1. In Edge, type edge://flags in the address bar and press Enter.
2. Search for Password import.
3. Set the flag to Enabled.
4. Restart Edge.

Steps to Import:

1. Go to Settings > Profiles > Passwords.
2. Click the three-dot menu next to "Saved passwords".
3. Select Import passwords.
4. Choose your .csv file and click Open.

?️ Security Tips

• Always store exported files in a secure location.
• Delete the .csv file after importing.
